Explore Scientific 82 deg. series 24mm Eyepiece
[CN Report | 07/15/10 | by David Knisely
The Explore Scientific 82 degree-series 24mm Eyepiece is a fine performer at a moderate cost. Its size and weight may occasionally make it more difficult to use in small to moderate sized telescopes.

Carson 7x18 Close Focus Monocular
[User Review]  | 08/07/10 | by Blaine Hebert
If you need a close focusing monocular for occasional use or for experimentation this one might well serve your purpose adequately. For the price it is a bargain.
A review of the 31 Nagler versus the 32 Edmund Erfle
[User Review]  | 08/07/10 | by Mark Swanson
There is no question that the 31 Nagler was much better edge corrected than the 32 Edmund. However, this full field sharpness came at a price. I mean that at the center of the field, the Edmund 32 was clearly sharper. I believe that the only area that the 31 Nagler beats this Edmund is in the outer 35% of the field where it is significantly sharper.
The Orion Intelliscope hand controller
[User Review]  | 08/07/10 | by Klaas van Ditzhuyzen
Orion has made a nice object finding device which works fine without power consuming slewing motors. When they issue a new firmware version with the issues above fixed then it would be even more useful.
TeleVue’s Dioptrx Adapter for Type 6 Naglers: a bit more than the name implies!
[User Review]  | 07/27/10 | by George Golitzin
TeleVue’s dioptrx adapter is an inexpensive gadget that works great in its intended application. But it may well prove of interest to you even if you do not use the dioptrx! If any of you like your Type 6 Naglers but are not crazy about their standard-issue eyeguards, have a look below.
Zhumell Z8 Dobsonian Telescope
[User Review]  | 07/27/10 | by Kyle Bogosian
This is a very good choice for a beginning astronomer (however, I would also recommend purchase of an additional eyepiece in the 12-18mm range.) Someone who has ready access to a dark sky site could use this scope for years without running out of things to see.
Stellarvue SV50 finder scope - spotter version
[User Review]  | 07/27/10 | by Malcolm Bird
Overall, the SV50 is a remarkably robust, attractive and good performing finder/scope compared to the plethora of offshore finders flooding the market. It exudes the feeling of a quality product that has not been corner-cut to death in the name of price points and volume marketing.
3 Criterion Dynamax 8 scopes and B&L4000
[User Review]  | 07/25/10 | by Mark Swanson
I am a visual oberver and every Dynamax 8 and the B&L 4" have had excellent tracking. No noise, no jumping images from tracking errors, smooth movement in dec and RA.Only one of them had some image shift.
